I have a laptop sitting at my house, and I will have a business class internet connection set-up shortly. I would like to make the laptop a server, and set it up to run the usual (php, mysql, email, ftp etc.)

You'll need to set-up nameservers, install linux and apache, and configure it so that everything works correctly.

I'm doing this so I can run a big application while its in dev process, so it will be your job to keep it up (I will email you should anything go wrong- proactive monitoring is not necessary).
