DrakNet is looking for dependable, responsible, and experienced part-time remote technical support representatives for helpdesk/support positions on a pay per ticket basis with a possibility of moving to a part-time salaried positions based on performance evaluations.
Initial Primary Responsibilities:Providing accurate and friendly technical support responses through our ticket system
Troubleshooting cPanel/WHM, Apache, Soholaunch issues for clients.
Answering sales questions when they arise.
Escalating ticket when necessary.
Shifts:Since this is a per ticket contract position, we do not require shifts, but do expect people to check in and work at least 4 days out of the week and to participate in the forums with other staff, and with clients.
Possible Future Responsibilities:Handling support chats and/or phone support
Compensation:Initial Pay Rate will be $2.00 per ticket with .50 per ticket raises commiserate with quality of performance to a max of $4 per ticket.
Tickets are paid regardless of whether problem is solved or escalated/worked on by other staff.
Chat is paid at $7.55 per hour for connect time, rounded up weekly.
Phone is paid at $7.55 per hour for connect time, rounded up weekly.
Forum participation (on our own forum) is a flat $5 per week.
Ticket lists are submitted on Fridays, verified, and are paid the following Monday via PayPal or check as you prefer.
You should have:Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
At least 1+ Year Experience as a tech in the Hosting Industry
Be 18+ years of age
Able to pass background check and position history verification
We'd like you to have:Experience with Ubersmith
Technical Requirements:Knowledge of cPanel/WHM/DNS/Apache
Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot Soholaunch Pro
Caveat:DrakNet is home to a number of progressive and left-leaning organizations and people of a vast variety of alternative beliefs. It helps if you are a left-leaning, tree hugging liberal - if you're not, it helps if you don't get completely freaked out when someone who's legal name is "Donald" asks you to call him "Mary" because s/he's a pre-op transsexual.
