Note: We're looking to pay between $1,000 - $1,800 for this project. If things go well, we always have projects that need being done and could engage in many future projects together.

To contact me, please e-mail tyler@merendi.com (do not PM me or reply here!).

We have a fully functioning website with custom programming that we wish to add new features and improvements to.

The site is programmed completely in Perl, and most of the code is well documented throuought and easily structured with modules and a templating system (HTML::Template). The site design is very clean and is XHTML and CSS valid.

We are looking for a programming company that will be able to provide high quality programming and be able to comform to valid XHTML, cross-browser compatibility, and keep any new code well commented and "clean".

Below is an outline of the 8 features we wish to be implemented on our site. For more detailed information on each feature, please e-mail tyler@merendi.com (Do not PM me or reply here!).

Please note that while the following list may appear overwhelming, the existing site is very well structured and should provide a helpful framework to work with.

1. Featured Networks Advertising System (Medium Feature)
2. Universal Member System (Major Feature)
3. Member Commenting System (Major Feature)
4. Improved Voting System (Medium Feature)
5. Front Page News Area (Minor Feature)
6. Templated/Custom 404 Error Pages (Minor Fix)
7. Network Details Placement (Minor Feature)
8. Search by Name (Minor Feature)

PHP may be used for new areas/modules for various features, although it would probably be simpler to stick with Perl.

The time frame for all the projects should be completed within a month, and in the order given. The changes should be made on a mirrored copy of the existing site as to not cause any issues, and then replace the current site once approved by us.

Preferably, each project could be done one-by-one on the test site and then moved/transfered over to the existing site once approved.
