Here at HostChum we aim to provide the best customer service of all time. Currently we are looking for a trained Lv3 support technician to join our team to fulfil our aim. Below we have listed some information on the current available position.
Support Agent:
At HostChum we offer Web Hosting and VPS servers. We are looking for 1 trained support agent to guide our valued customers to the road of success. Working within this group you will be required to reply to support tickets(WHMCS) and also guide customers over live chat(LiveZilla).
Support Salary:
Brought in a new client? 10% of that sale (Recurring)
Resolved a Lv3 Issue?: $3
Resolved a Lv2 Issue?: $2
Resolved a Lv1 Issue?: $1
At the moment our ticket flow is dead but our site views etc are getting bigger everyday. So you will be added to the sales department on live chat to hopefully cover up any loss of ticket income.
Just keep in mind that these values will grow as our client base grows and so the more clients you bring in on sales the more money you make.

This position is remote based; however you must live in Canada with absolutely no exceptions and extreme preference will be given to those in Ottawa, ON and Halifax, NS. This temporary position is expected to last from todays date until the middle of January, possibly into February. Due to the short notice and the urgency in finding someone to be on call from 16:00 EST to 00:00 EST, the increased payment details outlined below will only apply to this position. Trouble tickets are typically low between the above mentioned hours, so you can expect anywhere from 15 to 30 over the duration of your temporary employment. Depending on your performance you may be asked to become a normal on call employee or possibly considered for our upcoming Dedicated Server division. Job Description As the first point of contact for technical support questions, you will be responsible for gauging the problem at hand, troubleshooting as best as possible (without root access), and/or escalating the ticket to a systems administrator for further assistance. The ultimate goal is to provide response times of less than 15 minutes with a resolution time of less than 30 minutes. There is no cutting and pasting of canned responses, as every client deserves a detailed and personalized response. This is an on call position, meaning your services will not be required every day unless requested otherwise. When your services are required, you will be notified via email and/or SMS to ensure tickets are promptly answered. Required Technical Skills Solid understanding of cPanel and WHM. Solid understanding of the x3 and RVSkin themes. Solid understanding of Fantastico De Luxe. Solid understanding of the most common FTP clients. Solid understanding of the most common Email clients. Comfortable troubleshooting FTP, DNS, POP3 and SMTP errors. Comfortable troubleshooting HTML, PHP and SQL scripting errors. Comfortable troubleshooting and writing various mod_rewrite rules. Comfortable troubleshooting and installing WordPress & WordPressMU. Knowledgeable of the ClientExec billing software. Knowledgeable of the Kayako eSupport help desk software. Knowledgeable of the OpenVPN client software. Required Personal Skills Ability to work under pressure and meet response times. Highly motivated to go above and beyond to help clients. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Excellent spelling, punctuation and overall grammar. Payment Details $10.00 per resolved ticket (under 5 replies). $15.00 per resolved ticket (above 5 replies). $5.00 per escalated ticket (troubleshooting not possible). $10.00 per escalated ticket (troubleshooting was possible).
