Responsibilities and Details

Description
 
In this position, you will be part of the IA-32 Processor Systems Validation team responsible for functional verification of CPUs in a post-silicon environment. The charter of this team is to find all the functional errata in CPU designs. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for the development and enhancement of test content and capabilities (in C/C++, Assembly* or Python*)
- Executing new and existing tests on the CPU in a systems lab
- Analyzing and debugging test failures using a variety of debug tools (including ITP*, APEX*, Logic Analyzer* and others) to isolate the component causing the system failure
- Interfacing with the Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams in developing, modifying and improving tests
- Developing test plans for future processor validation activities

Qualifications
You should possess a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science with three years of relevant experience or equivalent skills. Additional qualifications include:
- A self-motivated individual with the initiative to work independently
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of CPU architecture and micro-architecture, lab debug experience and experience with pre-silicon functional validation would be an added advantage

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an added advantage:
- IA-32 microprocessor and Intel� architecture validation and debug
- System validation for Intel's processors or chipset components
- Server systems and multiprocessing (MP) architecture validation
- Software development for design or validation tools
- Software development experience in C/C++, Python*, Assembly* in a Windows* or Linux* environment
