Description In this position (depending on the following specific areas), your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Analog/EBB DA: Supporting tools and methodologies for the analog/mixed signal and EBB design suite (a good understanding of Cadence* Composer*, Analog* Artist* or Analog* Design Environment*, Presto*, Lynx*, AMS*, ADMS*, Mynx*, SpectreRF* or EldoRF*, Pathmill*, NoiseSim*, ERC*, Plato8* or similar tools would be an added advantage, design experience with these tools would be an added advantage) - Layout/Verification DA: Supporting tools and methodologies for layout and verification (requires expertise in tools/methodology of full custom layout, parasitic extraction, physical verification tools and DFM issues; a good understanding of GeneSys*, Carmel*, ISS*, Hercules*, StarRC*, ALF2MW* or similar tools would be an added advantage) - Infrastructure/Env DA: Supporting project environment, infrastructure and database management for multiple sites across Intel (a good understanding of OPUS*, Unified Setup*, DesignSync*, PVX* or similar tools would be an added advantage) - DFT DA: Supporting tools and methodologies for DFx ( good understanding of Tetramax*, Fault Grading* or similar tools/methods would be an added advantage) General Job Description: Hardware/Component Design. Develops and applies computer aided design (CAD, AMS behavioral circuit design and validation, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Assessing architecture and hardware limitations, plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software. Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Develops routines and utility programs. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval. May specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects and may evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Qualifications You must possess the equivalent of a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with ten years of industry experience. Additional qualifications include: - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work well in a cooperative team environment - Good software skills (Perl, C/C++, Skill*, and/or Tcl) - Excellent interfacing skills (this position requires interaction with internal and external tool vendors) - Good customer support skills across remote sites
