Our Mobile Applications Software team includes talented engineers who work on problems unique to mobile computing, from inception through the end of the product development lifecycle. The role: Mobile Wireless Application Developer

Our team is involved in a number of areas including next-generation, client-side mobile applications, information-retrieval algorithms, systems software and a variety of novel search products. As Mobile Wireless Application Developer, you'll take a big-picture approach to creating software that runs on the mobile phone. For example, Mobile Wireless Application Developers wrote a client application for Google Mobile Maps that runs on the phone. Well-rounded, patient, focused, eager to work in teams and adept at sound judgment, you bring sharp coding skills in mobile applications. Responsibilities:
Create and implement technical solutions for new mobile products and new features on existing products.
Design, build and support client applications on a variety of mobile platforms.
Work with QA to ensure high quality levels.
Extend support of applications to new platforms and to new locales.
Collaborate with our partners, tailoring applications to preproduction devices.

Requirements:
BS, MS or PhD in computer science or equivalent.
Experience programming with mobile client development on constrained-resource devices such as mobile phones and PDAs.
Experience with Symbian, Java ME, Windows Mobile, BREW, Palm OS or BlackBerry (RIM).
Development experience with handsets/carriers in the US/Europe/Asia markets is preferred.
Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time, with excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
